Stunning video shows man saved driver from burning vehicle

On Behalf of | Jan 6, 2017 | Car Accidents

A car accident in Southern California had a heroic and relatively happy conclusion recently. An SUV was stalled out on a highway late at night after New Year’s. With no lights on, the dark-colored SUV was nearly impossible to see by oncoming vehicles. A videographer was on the scene of the stalled out vehicle, and he witnessed two vehicles sideswipe the stalled SUV before on vehicle crashed into it head-on.

The accident was captured on video in the source article linked at the bottom of this post. The violent wreck sent shrapnel all over the highway and the SUV burst into flames. There was a man behind the driver’s seat of the SUV, and the videographer on the scene helped to free the driver from the fiery husk of a vehicle he was trapped in.

Now, there are two things to learn from this accident. The first is that you have to relish the fact that a car accident story had a “feel good” ending to it by having a Good Samaritan saving someone from a fiery car. The video shows a very risky situation, but the videographer did all he could to save a man’s life.

Having said that, there is still a car accident at the center of this story, and one that could have been fatal. Drivers need to be very careful on highways, and anyone who has to pull over to the side of a highway needs to take every precaution to make sure other drivers on the road are safe.
